Montessori-Inspired African Savanna Life Printables

My Printable Pals requested a printable bundle about the African Savanna last month, and it became quite the project! There were a number of different directions I could have taken it — a geography study, a continent study of Africa, etc — but I decided to focus on the animal and plant life that lives in the African Savanna (and perhaps do a continent study focusing more on flags/people/landmarks similar to my North America continent study in a future month!). Here’s everything that’s included in my NEW African Savanna Life Bundle:

African Savanna Animals 3-Part Cards: There are 3-part cards for 28 different animals that call the African Savanna home! I recommend starting with just a few at a time and gradually adding on until you’ve introduced all 28.

African Savanna Animals Silhouette Matching Cards: There are silhouette cards for each of those 28 African savanna animals! Match them with the picture cards from the African Savanna Animals 3-Part Cards.

African Savanna Animals Close-Up Matching Cards: There are 12 zoomed in photographs featuring close-up views of animals’ coats! Match them to the corresponding picture cards from the African Savanna Animals 3-Part Cards.

African Savanna Plants 3-Part Cards:  There are 3-part cards for 10 different plants that grow on the African savanna.

Parts of a Termite Mound Poster:  There is a poster showing the inside of a termite mound, labeling the central chimney, nest entrances, fungal garden, royal chamber, and termite nest.

Parts of a Termite Mound 4-Part Cards:  There are 4-part cards with those same parts of a termite mound isolated in red, as well as detailed explanations of the function of each part.

Termite Mound Matching Cards:  There are 10 pairs of termite mound photographs for matching. For an added level of difficulty, use them to play Memory!

African Savanna Animals Beginning Sounds Bingo Game:  There are 6 different bingo boards along with task cards for practicing beginning sounds.  The following letters are represented: b, c, e, g, h, i, j, l, m, n, o, p, r, t, w, z.

African Savanna Game:  There is a game for counting and placing African animals on the savanna board.  The numbers on the task cards are color-coordinated to the colors of the Montessori bead bars. The board comes in a full color version as well as a black and white version if you want to save some printer ink.

African Savanna Animal Measuring Cards:  There are measuring cards for measuring the height of 10 different African savanna animals. The measurements are to scale, with one inch representing one foot in real life. Make sure you follow the printing instructions so the animals measure to whole inches.

Teen Bead Bar Addition Clip Cards:  There are clip cards for building teen numbers for 11-20.

My Book About African Savanna Animals:  There is a 30 page printable book featuring all of the African savanna animals included in the bundle, with extensive facts about each.

African Savanna Animals Who Am I? Cards:  There are 28 Who Am I? cards featuring the facts mentioned in the My Book About African Savanna Animals. Match the clues to the pictures.

This bundle is HUGE! And you can get the whole thing for just $14.
