Montessori-Inspired Language Printables in Cursive

If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you may have noticed that Lila has been interested in learning cursive lately.  We began our letter learning with print letters — AMI-trained teachers usually begin with cursive letters, but I am AMS-trained and we teach print first because those are the letters seen most often in books/on signs/in everyday life.  Lila started noticing that my natural handwriting — when I’m not using my teacher handwriting — is a mix of cursive and print, and she asked to learn cursive!  We began with this gorgeous wooden tracing board, and now she’s ready to apply the concepts with paper and pencil, and then with reading in cursive — so I was so excited to find these new Montessori-Inspired Language printables in cursive by Every Star is Different.

These are the printables we’re using for learning cursive:
  1. Montessori-inspired Letters and Sounds Printable Pack Bundle in Cursive
  2. Montessori-inspired Beginning Language Bundle in Cursive
  3. Montessori-inspired Intermediate Language Bundle in Cursive
  4. Montessori-inspired Advanced Language Bundle in Cursive

These printables correspond to the pink, blue, and green series usually found in Montessori classrooms — in the case of the bundle, those that say “beginning” materials are pink series, “intermediate” materials are blue series, and “advanced” materials are green series.  Each of those bundles contains many of the same types of materials, just with the varying degrees of difficulty/new concepts as seen in the pink, blue, and green series — so I will just be showing you a couple of the different ways to use these materials from each section.

Since Lila has already been through the pink, blue, and green series in print, we are using a combination of all of the materials at once!  If we were just beginning our journey with letters, I would start with the Montessori-Inspired Letters and Sounds Printable Pack Bundle in Cursive and then work our way through the series from there.

As usual, I’ll show you what’s inside each part of this amazing bundle!

The Montessori-Inspired Letters and Sounds Printable Pack Bundle in Cursive serves as a great introduction to all of the cursive letters individually, and it has materials for both lowercase AND uppercase.  We began with the My Montessori Lowercase Letters and Sounds Book — Lila is having a blast tracing each letter and seeing how the letters connect to form words.  Once she’s finished with the lowercase book, we’ll work on some of the clip cards before repeating with the uppercase books and clip cards.

The Montessori-inspired Beginning Language Bundle in Cursive contains pink series materials in cursive, and I love how evenly the vowel sounds are split!  We will begin with the Pink Series Picture and Word Match Up Sets pictured above.

The Montessori-inspired Intermediate Language Bundle in Cursive contains the blue series materials.    I love the picture and phrase match up sets that are included in each difficulty level of this bundle!

The Montessori-inspired Advanced Language Bundle in Cursive contains the green series version of the same materials that can be found in the Beginning and Intermediate bundles.  I put some of the tracing cards in a sheet protector so Lila can trace them with a dry erase marker, erase, and repeat as many times as she likes!  I love that there is a realistic picture for each word and that there is so much variety for each phoneme.

We have loved using these Montessori-inspired language printables in cursive — Lila can now read and write in cursive pretty easily!
