My Printable Pals voted for a Montessori-inspired printable with an earth/rocks/earth science theme for the month of February, so I started brainstorming and created this NEW Montessori-Inspired Earth Science Bundle for your homeschool/preschool classrooms! Here’s everything that’s included:

Land & Water Forms 4-Part Cards: There are cards for 10 different land and water forms, including definitions of each! The forms included are island, lake, peninsula, gulf, isthmus, strait, cape, bay, archipelago, and system of lakes.

Land & Water Forms in Real Life Cards: There are also photographs featuring those same land and water forms for sorting, with three photographs for each type. The cards come as pictured with just a photo as well as with a label if you need that extra control of error.

Types of Rocks Sorting Cards: There are cards with definitions for each of the three types of rocks, as well as 4 cards featuring examples of those types (a total of 12) so you can sort them.

Types of Rocks & Their Uses 4-Part Cards: Each of those same rocks has 4-part cards featuring an explanation of what we use that type of rock for as well as a photograph showing it in a finished product. There are the 12 different rocks with their uses.

Types of Gemstones 3-Part Cards: Because I know from personal experience that gemstones are a HUGE point of interest for preschoolers, I also included 3-part cards featuring 30 different gemstones.

Layers of the Earth Activities: There is a poster showing the layers of the Earth as well as corresponding 4-part cards defining each.

Land & Water Forms Game: My favorite part is this Land & Water Forms Game! There are 4 different game boards to choose from, and you can use the dice with pictures of each form or words to test mastery. Roll the dice and put that land or water form on your board to change the coastline!
