Montessori-Inspired Fraction Circles Printable Extensions

Montessori materials can be quite expensive, and sometimes it’s just not worth the price when you’re only teaching one or two kids at home. The Montessori Fraction Circles are one such material, and my Printable Pals asked me to make a printable version along with some extensions for their May group printable. So I put together this Montessori Fraction Circles Extensions Bundle, and here’s everything that’s included:

Printable Montessori Fraction Circles: This is typically a metal material in Montessori classrooms, but I created them as a printable version so you can save some money! I made them in the original Montessori colors (green and red) as well as a low-color version if you don’t want to use too much printer ink. Just print them on cardstock and cut out the pieces. For even more durability, glue the pieces onto cardboard.

Fractions 3-Part Cards: There are 3-part cards for each fraction circle, from 1 whole circle through tenths of a circle.

Fraction Matching Cards: Match the labels to the fraction representation cards. You can also use these cards to show equivalent fractions.

Fraction Task Cards: 25 cards asking the child to compare different fractions to see which is larger, smaller, or the same.

Fraction Roll & Record: Roll either the die with the fraction representation on it or the die with the written fraction on it, then color in the graph according to your roll.

Fruit Fraction Puzzles: For our younger friends! There are fruit puzzles for halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, and sixths.

Pizza Fraction Game: I love the traditional Montessori materials, but I also like to include a game to extend the learning even further. Turn over a card and follow the instructions to place toppings on your pizza! The original set of cards is all in eighths, but there are also equivalent fraction cards included if your child is ready for that.

Fraction Coloring/Play Dough Circles: Each fraction circle is blank so your child can color in the different fraction representations or fill them with play dough.
