Montessori-Inspired Coral Reef Printables

My Printable Pals chose a coral reef theme for their April printable, and I ended up making one of my favorite Montessori-inspired printable bundles ever! It’s also quite large, with 100 pages of printable materials all about the coral reef. Here’s everything that’s included in my NEW Montessori-Inspired Coral Reef Bundle:

Coral Reef Life 3-Part Cards: There are cards for 33 different animals that call the coral reef home! Each animal is isolated on the card. Since there are so many, you may want to start with smaller groupings (for example, just the fish, just the corals, just the anemones, etc).

Coral Reef Life Silhouette Matching Cards: There are also silhouettes for those same 33 coral reef animals. Match them to the picture cards of the 3-part cards for a more difficult visual discrimination work.

My Book About the Coral Reef: There is a page for each of those same 33 coral reef animals, plus some general information and a blank page to add your own facts.

Coral Reef Who Am I? Game: There are 33 pairs of cards with facts taken straight from the printable book. Read the clue card and match the clues to the picture of that coral reef animal.

Coral Reef Close-Up Matching Cards: There are 20 pairs of cards to match the close-up circle to the full picture of the coral reef animal. The child can use a magnifying glass to examine the full picture, or just search really hard! This could also be a fun way to play Memory.

Parts of a Coral Reef Poster & Labeling Activity: Identify the different parts of the coral reef, then cut out the label cards to label your own poster (not pictured).

Parts of a Coral Reef 4-Part Card: Each part of the coral reef is identified by the red star, and there’s even a definition card for each.

Coral Reef Counting Game: This is my favorite part! Choose a task card and put that number of the animal pictured onto the coral reef board. There’s a full color version of the board (top) as well as a black & white version (bottom) if you want to preserve ink. Continue choosing task cards and adding animals until your coral reef is full or you’re satisfied with how it looks! The numbers on the task cards are color-coded to the Montessori colored bead bars.

Coral Reef Counting Game Graph: For some extra math, look at your completed coral reef from the game and count each type of animal to graph it.

Coral Reef Place Value Matching Cards: Help the clownfish find its sea anemone home by matching the quantity shown with the golden beads to the number. There are 20 pairs plus some blank cards so you can make your own.
