Kids Night In Box Review & Coupon Code!

Our first Kids Night In last month was pretty fun, but this one was AMAZING!  The theme of this month’s box was Common Bonds, and it was all about kids from all over the world and what we have in common.  It just so happened to be the International Day of Peace when that box arrived, which was the perfect day to learn about children from other parts of the world!

The first thing on the itinerary for our Kids Night In was to cook dinner together.  We made a delicious Minestrone Friendship soup and talked about how all the individual ingredients in the soup were different colors, shapes, and sizes — just like people all over the world — and that together they make something delicious — or wonderful!

Next we curled up on the couch to read Mem Fox’s Whoever You Are.  I was especially impressed by the thoughtful reading questions that went along with the story — they really helped us to discuss as a family what makes us different from other families across the globe, as well as what we have in common.

Our favorite part of this Kids Night In Box was the chance to make new friends through the Kids Night In Pen Pal Community!  The girls had so much fun filling out the questionnaire and thinking about the children across the country who would be receiving them.  We can’t wait to get some mail back from our new pen pals!

And what’s a Kids Night In without an epic dance party?  Ours somehow turned into a toss-the-globe dance party as we listened to music from all over the world using the included Spotify soundtrack.

We calmed down a bit at the end of our Kids Night In with a simple Around the World board game — the girls played three times in a row!

The girls had an absolute blast exploring our Kids Night In Box — the whole night felt like a party, and it was a great way to bond as a family without having to plan a whole big event!

My girls are going to be super excited about the Spooky Kids Night In!  It will be like a private Halloween party — except I don’t have to plan a thing.
