Montessori-Inspired Weather Printables

I created these Montessori-inspired weather printables almost a year ago for my small group coaching members, and I somehow forgot to write about them here! Fixing that now so you can see how to use every part of this ENORMOUS bundle. Here’s everything that’s included:

Weather Symbols 3-Part Cards: Cards for sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, thunderstorm, and snowy. The picture card can also be used with the silhouette matching cards, and the control card can be used on the Today’s Weather Chart.

Today’s Weather Chart: Cut out the chart and hang it on the wall or near a window. Put a Velcro dot on in the blank square with the matching side on the back of the control cards from the Weather Symbols 3-Part Cards. Each day, check the weather and hang the appropriate weather symbol in the blank square.

Weather Wheel: Turn the arrow to the symbol that matches the weather each day.

Weather Symbol Silhouette Matching Cards: Match each silhouette to the picture card from the Weather Symbol 3-Part Cards.

Weather Symbol Cutting Strips: Use as fine motor work for the child to cut on each line. Use the cut pieces to glue on the Calendar Weather Tracker each day.

Calendar Weather Tracker: Write the month at the top of the calendar and put the number of each day in the upper righthand corner of that square. Fill in each day’s weather by either gluing a square from the Weather Symbol Cutting Strips or drawing the appropriate symbol in that day’s square.

Graph Weather Tracker: Each day, color in one square according to what the weather is for that day, beginning at the bottom of the graph.

Water Cycle Poster & Labeling Activity: The poster shows the steps of the water cycle. Cut out the label cards and put them on the blank water cycle page.

Water Cycle 4-Part Cards: Each part of the water cycle includes a control card, a picture card, a label card, and a written definition card.

Type of Precipitation Sorting Mats: Sort each picture onto the correct mat for rain, hail, sleet, or snow. Choose either the cards with color-coded borders for a control of error or the cards with the black border (not pictured).

Types of Clouds 4-Part Cards: Each type of cloud includes a control card, a picture card, a label card, and a written definition card. Includes cirrus, cumulus, cumulonimbus, stratus, and contrails.

Types of Rainbows 4-Part Cards: Each type of rainbow includes a control card, a picture card, a label card, and a written definition card. Includes primary rainbow, double rainbow, fogbow, red rainbow, and lunar rainbow.

Cloud vs. Rainbow Sorting Mats: Sort each picture onto the correct mat.

Appropriate Objects for the Weather Sorting Cards: Sort each picture below its weather category of wet weather, cold weather, or warm weather. Print either the picture cards with the color-coded borders as a control of error, or the picture cards with the black borders (not pictured).

Seasonal Dress-Up Dolls: Print out each control picture, seasonal doll, and clothing pieces. Put Velcro dots on the clothing pieces and seasonal dolls so the clothes will stick on. You may want to put out just one seasonal doll at a time — start with the season you are in!

Weather Sentence Strips: Read each sentence and match it with the corresponding picture. The sentence strips are divided into Pink, Blue, and Green Series difficulty levels for beginning readers (6 of each), or an adult can read the sentence and the child can find the picture.

ALL of those activities are available together for just $12!
