This is another Montessori-inspired printable that I created almost a year ago for my Printable Pals and forgot to write about on the blog! My members asked for some Geometric Cabinet extension work, so I created a printable bundle to use alongside the Montessori Geometric Cabinet or in place of it. Here’s everything that’s included:
Printable Geometric Cabinet Insets: These are included in full color version as well as a low color version to save on printer ink. Includes the following shapes: 6 circles lessening in diameter, 6 rectangles lessening in width, equilateral triangle, acute angled isosceles triangle, right angled isosceles triangle, right angled scalene triangle, obtuse angled scalene triangle, obtuse angled isosceles triangle, decagon, nonagon, octagon, heptagon, hexagon, pentagon, ellipse, oval, curvilinear triangle, quatrefoil, rhombus, parallelogram, quadrilateral, trapezoid, acute angled scalene triangle, kite, chevron. I made the frames 4.75″ square so I could fit two per sheet of paper.
Geometric Cabinet 4-Part Cards: Cards for each of the above-mentioned insets, including a control card, a picture card, a label card, and a definition card.
Geometric Cabinet Outline Cards: One for each of the Geometric Cabinet shapes. You can match these to the 4-part cards or the insets for a more difficult matching work.
Parts of a 2-D Shape 4-Part Cards: These put the definitions of the geometric cabinet shapes in context. Includes a control card, a picture card, a label card, and a definition card for shape, vertices, sides, and interior angles, with each part isolated in red.
My Book of Shapes Control: Print this one to read or to serve as a control of error the for the student-made book of shapes.
Shape Cutting/Pinpushing Cards: Have the child cut or pinpush the shapes, then glue them in the My Book of Shapes Pasting Activity
My Book of Shapes Pasting Activity: A blank book with only the names of the shapes so your child can add the correct shape to each page.
Shape Roll & Record: Roll the dice and color in a spot on the graph each time you roll that shape.
Number of Sides Shape Sorting Mats: Sort the shapes according to how many sides they have. This could also be a pasting work. There is a version with outlines on the mats as well as a version that is blank.
Geometric Cabinet Insets Art Extensions: You can either replicate these patterns by putting the insets together to form the picture, or trace the insets to make the same design.
All of these Montessori Geometric Cabinet Extensions are available together for just $9!
