My Book About Mammals & Who Am I? Cards — Free Printable!

Nora chose to shadow me for Take Your Child to Work Day this year, and I knew that the perfect project for her would be to create her own Montessori-inspired printable material. I often ask her for ideas when I’m creating large themed bundles, so I knew she would love this! I showed her all of the Montessori printables I’ve already created, and then she decided that she wanted to make something about mammals. When we were homeschooling, she always loved Who Am I? Cards, so she immediately decided to make a set of Who Am I? Cards all about mammals. But she also wanted to make sure people would have a way to find the answers, so she decided to add a book with a bunch of facts.

Nora has always loved researching animals, and she keeps a binder full of facts that she’s written down from various non-fiction books about animals. For this printable book, she chose 10 of her favorite mammals and wrote some of her favorite facts about them. Since Nora usually copies things from books word-for-word into her fact binder, we talked about making sure this was her own work and not plagiarism. She worked hard to write these facts in her own words!

After Nora wrote the book full of facts, she chose a few of the facts from each animal to make Who Am I? Cards. Read the facts and match the card to the correct picture of the mammal.
