Kids Night In Box Review & Giveaway!

I can’t even tell you how excited the girls were to try out a Kids Night In Box last weekend… so I’ll just show you their faces when they found the box waiting for them at the front door:

I mean, finding a surprise box addressed to you is pretty exciting no matter what, but when the packaging is also GORGEOUS… it’s 10 times better!

We decided to make a family night of our Kids Night In Box, so we set it aside for Saturday when we would all be together.  Honestly, the whole thing felt like we were having a mini-party — but without all the stress of planning it and gathering all the materials (other than the ingredients for the optional menu).

About an hour before dinner time on Saturday, we began our Kids Night In Box bonanza!  I love that it comes with a suggested menu that goes along with the theme of the night — in this case, the theme was Under the Sea.  The girls loved cooking macaroni and cheese “shells” with pea “pearls,”  and we added some popcorn shrimp to our dinner just to round the meal out a bit more.

And you can see how excited they were about the fun fishy drink!  By dinnertime, we were ready to party!

After enjoying the delicious meal they prepared mostly themselves [with supervision], we curled up on the couch to read a book that was included in the box.

Then we created pieces of art inspired by the book!  This bleeding tissue paper collage was so much fun that I’m actually going to create a work tray from it to include in our homeschool preschool classroom.

After the craft [according to the itinerary included in the Kids Night In Box], it was time to get moving!  The girls absolutely LOVED these Sea Life Yoga cards that came in the box… and so did Daddy!

This is obviously the “whale” pose…

…and “lobster!”

The Sea Life Yoga cards were so much fun that I’m planning on laminating them so we can continue to do them over and over again!

And then we had an Under the Sea dance party!

The Kids Night In Box comes with a special playlist for each monthly theme, and the sea life masks made our dance party extra fun!

Parents everywhere will also be grateful that the Kids Night In Box ends with a calming activity — in this case, Sea Life Sticker Fun!  It was the perfect way to wind down before bed to end our amazing Kids Night In.

The girls had an absolute blast exploring our Kids Night In Box — the whole night felt like a party, and it was a great way to bond as a family without having to plan a whole big event!

The Kids Night in Box had enough materials in it for two children to do the activities, and it was the perfect level of difficulty for my 2- and 4-year-olds to complete the crafts independently.  The suggested menu was very kid-friendly, while still being an experience that we could all enjoy together.

I’m super excited for next month’s box — the theme is Common Bonds and it explores what unites children all over the world!  And the girls are already talking about the next time they get to have a Kids Night In!
