ABOUT MARY CRONK FARRELL AND “FANNIE NEVER FLINCHED”
In the heart of Pennsylvania’s industrial culture, Fannie Sellins was a charismatic labor organizer in the early 1900s when the Carnegies and Morgans wore jewels and their workers wore rags. She believed everyone should share in the American dream, that men and women, children, immigrants and people of color deserved to enjoy economic security, education and job opportunities. She stood up for workers’ rights and bravely spoke out against corporate greed, violence and the injustices around her, even when facing death.
Researching Fannie Sellins’ life, Mary became convinced there is much we can learn from her story. Mary’s website – http://www.marycronkfarrell.net/
