Hey guys!  Want to score this gorgeous geoboard FOR FREE from me?!

My husband made this for L, and it’s only been out for about a week now but it’s a huge hit!  I’m kind of addicted to using it, too.  To celebrate my one year blogging anniversary, I asked him to make another one for you!

Geoboards require a certain amount of fine motor control to use, so this work is recommended for children ages 2 and up.  The aim of the work is to stretch the rubber bands around the nails to form different shapes.  This builds fine motor control and concentration skills.  Discovering how to make shapes and learning their names builds sensorial awareness and language skills, and noticing the units involved in each shape serves as an introduction to math.  L loves to make triangles on the geoboard, and when she’s not looking, I like to make patterns.  🙂
